Kenya is well known for its highly organized network of coffee cooperatives. The system produces remarkable constancy in growing methods, milling and auctioning across a web of about 150,000 growers, the majority of which are small scale farmers. The AA Grade Arabica is the top grade based on screening. The coffee growing in altitudes between 3,500 and 6,000 ft and harvested from October – December. The cup characteristic is bright big citrus with lemon acidity and black currant. Great intense body/balanced and clean with a slight sugar cane aftertaste.
